Getting an API Key
- Go to Google Makersuite
- Click on Get API Key at the top left and follow steps to copy your key
- Input your key on the Extension's setup page
You're all good to go!
Choosing a Default Model
The models available through your API key are fetched live from Google, so you'll always see the current set of models Google provides. Use the Set Default Model command to select your app-wide default from the live list and see which model is currently active β this is used by all commands. The AI Chat model dropdown is also populated live.
The extension Settings only require your API key (and optional safety threshold); there are no model fields there.
Safety Settings
You can set the safety settings from the extension's configuration page. The default is set to "BLOCK_ONLY_HIGH". Please adjust this setting according to your needs.
